Some recommendations and instructions for long-term use which, if followed, can extend the durability of the furniture for a very long time.
• Uneven loading of cupboards with objects or moving them out of place repeatedly can lead to the disarrangement and imbalance of the doors and/or drawers. Our recommendation is that the maximum load on the shelf should be 7kg, and the weight should be distributed as evenly as possible in the cabinets.
• Periodically, we advise you to change the place of accessories and other objects placed on the furniture. Here are some explanations. Items such as telephones, alarm clocks, lamps, decorations, computers, etc. they are provided with a rubber support. If they stay in the same place for a long time, they can stick to the furniture or discolor the wood surface. We also recommend that you do not keep plate holders or other similar plastic protections on the table for a long time, as they can lead to imprinting, softening, discoloration and damage to it. Do not store leather items on the furniture for a long time. Do not cover the furniture for a long time. The finishes do not need to be covered to be able to "breathe", thus preserving their appearance and resistance.
• Avoid writing directly on the surface of the furniture, to prevent the formation of traces and scratches. Protects the work surface when using objects that can stain, print or damage the furniture, such as pens, pencils, markers and glue.
• Avoid placing hot objects on the furniture surfaces. Place napkins under plates, coffee or tea cups. Use cup holders for both hot and cold drinks. If you notice that the furniture is starting to show damage because of them, seek the help of a specialist.
• Avoid exposing the furniture to the sun, near heat sources or in humid areas, steam, etc., because the wood "works", it gets wet and dries, and this leads to slight deformations, to the "rubbing" of doors, drawers, etc.
Cleaning:
• Use a clean, soft and dry cloth for cleaning. Do not use furniture cleaning solutions, acetone, solvents or window cleaning products on the surface of the furniture. It has a layer of special oil for protection, a layer that can be damaged if cleaning products are used.
• Periodically wipe off the dust. Use a clean, white, soft cloth (like white cotton t-shirts) or cotton washcloths. To remove any traces of moisture from the surfaces, use a dry cotton cloth. When cleaning tops that have grooves, be sure to absorb all moisture from the grooves to prevent possible damage to the finish.
• Avoids spillage of liquids on wooden furniture. The absorption of liquids causes the wood to swell. Dry quickly using a soft, clean cloth. Avoid friction.
• If you want to "rejuvenate" it, the wooden furniture can be wiped with a clean and soft cloth sprinkled with a little furniture oil (it can be purchased from DIY stores).
Do not use products with wax!
Recommended temperature and humidity conditions.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to extreme, low or high temperatures, as well as temperature variations. These, as well as variable humidity, can produce cracks in the wood. Wood is porous and responds to excessively dry air by losing moisture and peeling. In conditions of high humidity, it absorbs moisture and expands. It is preferable to keep the furniture in a properly air-conditioned room.
• Avoid friction. It lifts objects instead of being rubbed against the wooden surface. Avoid rubbing on matte or fine gloss finishes, as the smearing or, as the case may be, the products that appear over time as a result of wear and tear in normal use tends to increase. And damages caused to the furniture from these causes are not considered defects.
